Chinese electric automaker ZEEKR has just previewed exciting details about its upcoming 009 multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) refresh ahead of its global launch in Hong Kong on July 19, 2024.
ZEEKR unveils updated features for 009 MPV ahead of global debut
ZEEKR has just introduced its 009 MPV a year ago. Now, the Chinese player is already gearing up to launch the model’s updated version.
The ZEEKR 009 MPV refresh offers two-seat configurations, with the company marketing it as one of the safest and most eco-friendly interiors for such vehicles. In addition, it features a massive battery pack that promises to deliver a leading driving range in its segment.
In hindsight, ZEEKR disclosed the ultra-luxe variant “Grand” for the 009 MPV in April 2024. It has four-seat configurations, a 43″ LED TV, an 18-liter fridge, and marble accents. With the introduction of the new refresh version, ZEEKR added a new seven-seat option.
What to expect from the ZEEKR 009 MPV refresh?
Technical details
The ZEEKR 009 MPV refresh maintains the 140kW battery pack of the previous ME Edition, with CATL providing its innovative Qilin cells. However, it has a new single-motor option that promises to enable the longest range among all-electric MPVs when using the larger pack.
ZEEKR outlined that the larger 108 kW battery pack supports fast charging (10-80%) in just 11.5 minutes. It can also apparently accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.9 seconds.
While ZEEKR has not yet specified the new variant’s driving range, a previous version hit 822 km (511 miles) CLTC-rated range between charges.
Other features
As mentioned, the ZEEKR 009 MPV refresh has a new seven-seat configuration. It also comes with a wide range of enticing features, such as follows:
- Standard-equipped dual-chamber air suspension and CCD dampers
- 30 speakers with 3000-watt peak power – the highest in the world per ZEEKR
- “Private” and “Valet” cabin modes
- Sound shield for better privacy
- Cabin heater: -6℃ to 50℃ (21℉ to 122℉)

ZEEKR is gearing up to hold its first-ever model debut outside mainland China with the global unveiling of the new 009 MPV refresh in Hong Kong on July 19, 2024.
