Tesla reportedly released the Full Self-Driving Beta in some of its electric cars in Europe and Australia, as per Teslascope. The EV giant apparently rolled out the FSD Beta in at least two EVs in Europe and one in Australia.
According to the data, a Tesla Model S P 100D with 3.0 hardware got the update 2023.12.9 in Belgium. A Model S Plaid with 3.0 hardware also received the same update in Germany. Meanwhile, a Model 3 Standard Range recently got the FSD Beta v. 2023.12.5 update in Australia.
So what?
The fact that FSD Beta is now available in cars beyond North America is encouraging, even though there are just two vehicles in Europe and one in Australia.
In hindsight, CEO Elon Musk previously predicted that FSD Beta would be accessible for left-hand drive markets in Europe by the summer of 2022. Sadly, Musk’s prediction did not materialize at that time.
In early 2023, Tesla posted numerous job advertisements that hinted at the automaker’s ramp-up development of ADAS in Europe. It included an ADAS Test Operator position in Switzerland, Finland, and Denmark. Per the job advertisement, they would be “responsible to identify [sic] improvements and regressions across software iterations.”
It is also worth noting that CEO Musk remarked that Tesla would soon achieve full autonomy at the most recent General Shareholders Meeting. Although cautiously, he predicted that Tesla might achieve complete autonomy with FSD Beta by the end of 2023. Musk’s prediction has more merit now that FSD Beta is significantly more advanced than it was before.
In addition, Tesla increased the number of drivers testing its cutting-edge driver assistance system this past week by rolling out the Full Self-Driving Beta to additional testers.
CEO Musk further asserted that version 11.4.2 might be released shortly and would solve excessive “conservatism with narrow roads & [sic] with lane changes in heavy traffic.”

All that said, it would not be surprising if Tesla’s FSD would soon advance for public use, considering the company’s efforts in developing it.
