Polestar growth

According to Yahoo Sport, benefiting from a strong final quarter of 2022, Polestar had:

· Sold 21,000 cars in Q4

· Sold 51,500 cars by the end of the year

· Increased 80% year-on-year

· Delivered 7,345 models to UK buyers

With the talks about the success of Polestar in 2022, Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath tweeted how delighted and proud he is of what the company has achieved.

December @PolestarCars has been a crazy mission, with an all time high of deliveries. Team has been working extra hard right to the end of the year. Mission accomplished ☑️👊🏻

— Thomas Ingenlath (@ThomasIngenlath) December 30, 2022

“I’m proud of the many milestones we achieved in 2022 and in particular the massive team effort that went into delivering our strongest quarter to date – surpassing our 50,000 global volumes target for the year. We are now fully focused on 2023. There will be the usual quarterly variations, but I’m confident that we will continue to actively manage our supply chain to meet the growing demand for Polestar 2, commence first deliveries of Polestar 3 and launch Polestar 4.”

Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar’s CEO

2023 Polestar expectations

With the release of its new Polestar 3 SUV and the upcoming arrival of the Polestar 4 SUV in a coupe-style, the EV maker company anticipates sales to increase significantly once more in 2023. These will enable Polestar to reach its 2023 goal of 80,000 global sales and 60% yearly growth.

The Polestar 3, $PSNY ’s first electric SUV, officially made its debut in October with a 300-mile range and a price tag of $84K. Polestar plans to expand its EV lineup with another SUV, the Polestar 4, in 2023 and the Polestar 5 sports sedan in 2024. pic.twitter.com/pVEIWoejju

At the moment, Polestar only offers one model: the ‘2’ fastback, which competes with the Tesla Model 3 in terms of clever design and SUV-style characteristics.

The Polestar 2 has four models that offer ranges of up to 341 miles.
