The Renault Zoe is among Europe’s best-selling cars, which launched in the auto market in 2012.
That said, the five-door hatchback has already been in the industry for nearly a decade now. Nonetheless, the French automaker has upgraded the EV in the past years to compete in the rapidly growing market. The upgrades include interior quality and infotainment gadgetry, extended range between charges, and performance boost.
Performance
Renault Zoe is equipped with a 134bhp electric motor driving the front wheels. It can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 9.5 seconds. It also has fairly accurate steering, which enables the car to turn keenly.
Its range reached 208 miles between charges during warm weather, per What Car’s test. However, the range would drop to 160-170 miles during winter.
As for the battery, the Zoe has a 52kWh battery with an official WLTP range of 245 miles.
Meanwhile, its ride comfort is good enough at low speeds. Bumpy road surfaces are absorbed effectively enough. However, it has more wind and road noise compared to the e-208.
Interior
The Renault Zoe has a high driving seat. Unfortunately, it cannot be adjusted to match tall people’s reach. Nonetheless, the seat and steering wheel can be configured to offer better comfort.
It also has a huge space in the front for tall adults. As for the storage, it has a convenient tray below the digital display to hold a phone. It also has a couple of small cupholders and a narrow pen cubby.
Techno and Iconic trims are standardly equipped with 9.3 inches touchscreen infotainment system at the center of the dashboard. It also supports. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring. Both trims also have a 10.0 inches digital screen behind the steering wheel.
Its air conditioning can be controlled through physical buttons and dials, which makes it easier than navigating on the touchscreen.
Furthermore, it has 60/40 adjustable rear seats for expanded boot space.
The base model Techno has the following interior features:

Exterior
All trims have five doors, enabling easier access to the rear seats.
The base model Techno is equipped with 16 inches alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the higher-end trim Iconic has 17 inches alloy wheels and a CCS plug.
It looked very similar to the initial model in 2012. It is 1562 mm tall, 2588 mm long, and 1787 wide.
Notably, it has a non-aggressive nor sporty design. Its charging port is incorporated at the front of the car.

Charging
The CCS plug for faster charging is standard for the Iconic trim and optional for the Techno.
The Renault Zoe will be able to charge from 10% to 80% in just below an hour at up to 50kW speeds. Meanwhile, the 22kW Type 2 charger will charge the EV in around three hours. The 7kW home wall box will take about 8.5 hours,
