Chinese premium electric automaker Zeekr is set to enter the Australian electric vehicle market in 2024 with its people mover and compact SUV offering, local news outlet Drive reports.
Zeekr’s plans for the Australian market
Geely-owned brand Zeekr plans to compete in the Australian electric vehicle market with its luxury people mover 009 and compact SUV X by the end of 2024.
Zeekr has yet to announce the final pricing of the two upcoming models. According to EFTM, ZEEKR has yet to assign a local dealer network in Australia. Nonetheless, it has apparently already started hiring top-level executives, including Marketing Head Andrew Haurissa.
While the prices and specifications of the two Zeekr EVs remain scarce in Australia, we were able to gather some key details from the European market. For instance, both models will ride on the Geely-designed EV platform “Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA).”
