Rumors are circulating that Xiaomi Technology Co. Ltd. has submitted an application for the registration of the Modena trademark, along with a few different iterations of the codename.

There are many different descriptions of the various trademarks, such as modes of transportation, scientific instruments, and other types of things.

In the past, there were rumors that Xiaomi’s first automobile would be a medium-sized fastback sedan available in two distinct iterations.

There was also talk that Xiaomi was working on a second mass-produced car, which was rumored to be called the Lemans and scheduled for release in 2025.

It has been reported that Xiaomi has more than 2,300 R&D staff working on the Modena project.

This indicates that the company is putting significant effort into the product. It is anticipated that mass production of the first Xiaomi car will begin in the year 2024.

The CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, made the announcement in September 2022 that Xiaomi’s first car had successfully rolled off the assembly line as planned.

The CEO also stated that winter testing was scheduled to take place in December. The corporation has established its own automobile base in the Yizhuang neighborhood of Beijing.

The facility also acts as the company’s research and development headquarters and sales headquarters.

The Chinese technology company Xiaomi intends to establish a factory that will be capable of producing 300,000 automobiles on an annual basis.

According to the company’s projections, the production facility will be finished in two phases, each of which will have a capacity of 150,000.

A growing number of tech giants are adding vehicle manufacturing to their product offerings, and Xiaomi is one of them. However, its strategy takes a slightly different tack than the investment it made in a vehicle production facility with a capacity of 300,000 units per year.

The complete technical specifications of the Xiaomi Modena car have yet to be revealed. It is an electric vehicle, but it still lacks some finer details.
