Design

The 2024 Volkswagen ID.3 GTX sports a muscular clamshell-style hood. It also features full-width LED DRLs with an illuminated logo. In addition, the electric hot hatch has sweptback headlamp units and an enclosed grille.

Other key exterior design elements of the new 2024 Volkswagen ID.3 GTX include blacked-out pillars, flared wheel arches, a shark-fin antenna, a roof-mounted spoiler, and wrap-around LED taillights. It also rides on 20″ Skagen alloy wheels with performance-centric slim-profile tires.

Inside, the 2024 Volkswagen ID.3 GTX offers a five-seater cabin with a black dashboard and upholstery with red stitching and ambient lighting. It also has a multifunctional steering wheel, a free-standing 5.3″ digital instrument cluster, and a 12.9″ ” touchscreen infotainment panel.

Power and performance

Impressively, Volkswagen also fitted the 2024 Volkswagen ID.3 GTX with its Adaptive Chassis Control DCC. This system consists of electronically controlled shock absorbers that adapt to changing road conditions in milliseconds. It also autonomously adjusts the damping characteristics, significantly upgrading the model’s overall handling capability.

It comes equipped with the company’s most potent electric motor. The standard ID.3 GTX can yield a maximum output of 282 horsepower and 545Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds.

On the other hand, the top-tier GTX Performance can deliver up to 322 horsepower and 545Nm of torque. It also boasts an acceleration time of 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.

However, both variants share the same 79kWh li-ion battery pack. It supports 175kW DC fast charging and has a claimed maximum driving range of 600km between charges.

“With the ID.3 GTX, Volkswagen is transferring the almost 50-year tradition of its compact GT models into the world of electric mobility. Driving pleasure is guaranteed.”

Kai Grünitz, Member of the Volkswagen Brand Board of Management responsible for Development

Volkswagen is expected to officially launch the new ID.3 GTX on the electric vehicle market early this year per Top Electric SUV, potentially attracting hot hatch fans to join the shift to electric mobility.
