British automaker Vauxhall aims to be an all-electric brand starting in 2028. As part of its electrification initiatives, the Stellantis-owned brand recently announced plans to offer battery-powered variants of its currently available models as early as 2024.
As per the press release, Vauxhall will release the iconic Crossland’s successor with an EV version in 2024. In the same year, it will also launch the electrified Grandland, completing the electrification of the company’s portfolio.
“2024 will see us achieve the significant milestone of offering a fully-electric variant across our entire model lineup. It also confirms that going forward, all future Vauxhall models will be offered with a fully-electric variant from launch – demonstrating our commitment towards driving Britain to a brighter, electric future.”

Vauxhall currently has a diverse and expanding range of electric vehicles, encompassing five-passenger car models. These include Corsa Electric, Mokka Electric, Combo Life Electric, Vivaro Life Electric, and the recently introduced Astra Electric, now available for ordering. Later this year, Vauxhall will introduce the Astra Sports Tourer Electric.
Furthermore, Vauxhall plans to launch all-electric successors to the Crossland and Grandland models in 2024, completing the brand’s fully-electric lineup.
In addition to its passenger car offerings, Vauxhall stands out as one of the few automakers to provide a fully-electric variant across its entire range of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs). This comprehensive LCV lineup includes the Combo Electric, Vivaro Electric, and Movano Electric models, solidifying Vauxhall’s commitment to electric mobility in the commercial vehicle segment.
Apart from these, Vauxhall’s range of electrified vehicles also includes plug-in hybrid variants of the Astra, Astra Sports Tourer, and Grandland models. These vehicles proudly showcase the GSe (Grand Sport electric) badge, signifying Vauxhall’s new electrified performance sub-brand. Among them, the Grandland GSe stands out as the most potent model with an impressive 300 horsepower and 520Nm maximum torque.
Vauxhall is also expanding its electrified lineup by introducing a new Hybrid powertrain. With this, the upcoming Corsa model will provide customers 100hp and 136hp engines, combined with a new dual-clutch automatic transmission. This addition offers customers diverse choices, including battery-electric, Hybrid, or highly efficient combustion engines, catering to a wide array of preferences and individual needs.
