Zeekr previewed its upcoming electric SUV codenamed “CX1e” earlier this week. In a recent update across the company’s social media platforms, the Chinese automaker finally revealed the model’s official name – Zeekr 7X.
Zeekr confirms “CX1e” model go by 7X
After just 24 hours since publishing CX1e’s initial camouflaged images, Zeekr has finally announced that the new model would go by the name “7X.”
Apart from announcing the official name, Zeekr has also released additional photos of the new 7X without disguise.
These marketing efforts came just before the planned market launch of the new Zeekr 7X in the second half of 2024.
Zeekr 7X details
As you can see in the photo attached below, Zeekr released the first image of the 7X’s rear. It also indicated the model’s dimensions: 4,825mm long, 1,930mm wide, and 1,656mm high, with a 2,925mm wheelbase.
Considering these measurements, the Zeekr 7X will be bigger than its sibling X SUV. It will ride on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), making it the brand’s second-largest model after the Zeekr 009 MPV.
The new model sports the brand’s distinctive Hidden Energy design language, potentially attracting customers in the mainstream family electric SUV segment. Based on the already published photos, the model features a regular SUV shape with offbeat and new-age elements like sleek headlamps, frameless door mirrors, flush-fitted retractable door handles, a LiDAR sensor, and a slim, full-width tail lamp. The front fascia sports a ‘Stargate’ light band above the headlamps and an active grille in the lower part.
Zeekr has yet to release more details about the new model’s technical specifications. Nonetheless, it teased plans to launch more images of the Zeekr 7X in the coming days. to further stimulate customer interest.

The Zeekr 7X will apparently be the brand’s second model to hit the global electric vehicle market.
Therefore, we can expect this new model to arrive in the European market after it arrives in China later this year. All that said, the new Zeekr 7X will play a crucial role in Zeekr’s efforts to advance in the electric vehicle market amid the intensifying competition from both legacy and startup players.
