Tesla Model Y performed excellently in the electric vehicle industry, especially when it advanced as the world’s best-selling EV in Q1 2023. However, its achievement does not stop there, as the electric SUV has just received AutoTrader’s “Best Car for Families 2023” award.

The recognition demonstrates Tesla Model Y’s utility as an ideal option for families with kids. Apart from that, the EV also features advanced technologies and designs that parents may look for in an electric SUV.

"As one enthusiastic owner puts it, “It's about the balance of speed, economy, and quality with big handfuls of fun and practicality thrown in.” Enough said. Well done, Tesla." pic.twitter.com/qkuxwcUHqQ

About the Tesla Model Y

Tesla’s Model Y features everything its sibling Model 3 had. However, it sports bigger cargo space, more utility, and a more advanced design.

“The Model Y takes everything that’s good about the hugely popular Model 3 and builds on it to make a fantastic family car. The boot is more than twice the size, the cabin has noticeably more headroom throughout, and the SUV vibes mean the driving position is higher, so visibility is better.”

AutoTrader further cited the Model Y’s most promising qualities, including the following:

  • minimalistic cabin
  • show-stopping central touchscreen
  • quirky and fun tech integration
  • exceptional battery range
  • effortless acceleration
  •  nationwide access to the Tesla Supercharging network
  • Zero-emission operation

Tesla customers seem to appreciate the vehicle’s outstanding qualities as it has been selling well since its official launch in 2020. It even met CEO Musk’s forecast of becoming the world’s top-selling car, ultimately outpacing legacy models like the Toyota RAV-4 and Corolla.

As EV-a2z previously reported, the Tesla Model Y sold 267,200 in Q1 alone, recording the highest number of car sales globally.
