Tesla China has just allowed the Information Office of Shanghai Municipality to access the Giga Shanghai factory for a vlog published on its official Twitter account @ShLetsMeet.
People’s curiosity regarding the Giga Shanghai is unsurprising, given that it is currently the company’s most efficient and productive electric vehicle factory.

Tesla Giga Shanghai remains the company’s biggest factory by production output despite having a smaller site than Giga Texas and Giga Berlin.
Attached below is the Twitter post consisting of the video content of @ShLetsMeet:
As you can see in the video above, Giga Shanghai is constantly improving when it comes to its vehicle manufacturing line. One factory worker even disclosed that the plant has a production rate of 1 Tesla EV every 40 seconds.
That production rate is indeed remarkable, considering that the plant produces the high-quality and best-selling models, the 3 and Y.
Apart from that, Tesla China’s focus on prioritizing its workers’ welfare is also commendable. The automaker currently operates 16 different restaurants in Giga Shanghai to ensure its workers stay motivated and energized. Some of these restaurants include the famous KFC, Taco Bell, and Burger King.
The host also pointed out that food prices in the factory are approximately lower by 50% compared to the restaurant’s branches in other places.
Considering the significant food discount, Tesla may be the one paying for the other half of the food prices in the factory. It is a huge help for its workers, given that food from those restaurants can be expensive.

“It’s been incredibly impressive how you’ve been able to overcome so many difficulties and many challenges. It warms my heart, you know. And I tell people throughout the world — the cars we produce here are not just the most efficient in production, but the highest quality.

Given all of Tesla’s workers’ hard work in producing its high-quality EVs in Giga Shanghai, it is only fair for the company to ensure they are well taken care of.
