The highly awaited all-electric pickup Cybertruck from Tesla has reportedly gained more than two million reservations before its official market launch, a crowdsourced reservation tracker revealed.
Notably, the Google Sheets reservation tracker started following the Cybertruck’s debut in 2019. There are 47,415 self-reported reservations in the sheet at the time of writing.
You can access those entries in the “Cybertruck” and “Other Reservation” tabs.
Revenue and deposit estimates
The Google Sheet’s “Q&A” tab indicated that the data involves:
- Self-reported reservations
- The block of reservation numbers used
- A few of Tesla Chief’s own remarks
As per the current data, the reservations can potentially hit an estimated revenue of $152.13 billion and deposits of up to $201 million.
In hindsight, the Cybertruck initially hit its first million reservations in 2021. It grew to 1.9 million units by July 2023.
