Tesla Chief Elon Musk’s private jet reportedly departed Shanghai on June 1 as he concluded some crucial business matters on his two-day trip in China, Chinese flight-tracking data Variflight revealed.

CEO Musk’s two-day trip to China was indeed eventful. He had a meeting with some prominent government officials and a significant player in the power battery industry.
Of course, he also visited Tesla’s electric vehicle production hub, Gigafactory Shanghai.
As you can see in the images attached to the Tweet above, CEO Musk held a “Giga Shanghai” banner with hundreds of Tesla staff, including the renowned global manufacturing head Tom Zhu.
According to reports, the photo was captured at night, alluding to the busy day the CEO and his colleagues Tesla executives had in China.

As EV-a2z recently reported, CEO Musk met with the Chinese Foreign Minister just hours after landing in China. He also met with China’s commerce and industry ministers in Beijing on his second day in the country. CEO Musk was also spotted dining with CATL chairman, Giga Shanghai’s battery cell supplier.
Interestingly, CEO Musk has been unusually quiet, not releasing any information on his trip to the public. As many people know, Musk is frequently active on Twitter, particularly since he recently acquired the social media site.

Tesla has yet to disclose the specifics of CEO Musk’s conversations with Chinese officials. However, the industry ministry reported that its head and the Tesla boss had a discussion concerning the advancement of connected and electric vehicles. Meanwhile, the commerce ministry stated that Musk spoke with its minister on Tesla’s expansion in China.
At 11:23 am local time, Musk’s private jet reportedly took off from Shanghai’s Hongqiao Airport. According to the flight tracking service Variflight, the aircraft is en route to Austin, Texas.
