Tata has officially teased the Harrier Electric, a fully electric SUV that will launch next year. The company posted a photo of the SUV on Instagram, which caused a stir.
Times Drive reports that at the Auto Expo 2023, the company also unveiled an electric concept of the Harrier SUV.
Tata Motors, on the other hand, has launched an entirely distinctive paint theme merging Bronze and White hues in the most recent image. This dual-tone theme could later be applied to the existing ICE-powered Harrier SUV or remain limited to ‘electric-only’ vehicles.
Features and specifications of the Tata Harrier Electric Range
The Harrier Electric uses the identical Land Rover-derived Omega architecture as the present Harrier SUV and incorporates it with Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture.
Tata Motors is yet to disclose its specific battery capacity or electric motor specifications, but it has been verified that it will feature a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup.
The Harrier EV is also expected to support vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging. For those who are unfamiliar, V2L charging indicates that the vehicle can power other external devices, and V2L vehicles can also charge other electric vehicles. That’s so cool!
With an expected battery capacity of 60 kWh, you can anticipate the Harrier EV to have a range of between 400 and 500 kilometers after a full charge. In other words, this is the range you can expect it to have.
Tata Harrier EV release date and price
Tata has stated clearly that the official introduction will take place in 2024. It may also end up being the most expensive Tata vehicle ever produced, with a price tag that is expected to range between Rs 22 lakh and Rs 28 lakh.
