The Swedish carmaker Polestar has previously teased the 2024 edition of its high-performance electric vehicle, the Polestar 2. On Twitter, CEO Thomas Ingenlath announced the new edition and stated that it would be presented to the public later this month.
The teaser video that Polestar has shared needs to provide more information about the forthcoming automobile.
However, the automaker did hint that “something thrilling is about to be unleashed on March 21,” along with a picture of the front end of the vehicle, which showed a beautiful gold brake caliper.
Polestar 2 BST as the Beast
EVMAGZ reports that Polestar has dropped hints that the version of the Polestar 2 released in 2024 will be the best. This version is expected to feature new batteries that will allow for a more extended range, faster charging and various improvements that will enhance performance and feel.
The teaser video suggests that there may be an updated model of the Polestar 2 BST, also known as the “Beast,” as it is more commonly referred to.
However, there needs to be more information provided. The Polestar 2 BST edition 270 made its debut the year prior, and only 270 units were ever manufactured for sale across the globe.
The high-performance vehicle’s registration was closed down the year before due to the overwhelming amount of interest.
Compared to the standard model, the Polestar 2 BST comes equipped with several significant enhancements.
These include:
- Ohlins 2-way adjustable dampers for refined hands-on tuning,
- 21-inch Gloss Black Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels specially designed for the BST version
- a Performance Software Upgrade
- an aluminum strut bar that improves steering precision, rigidity, and balance
Polestar 2 BST Edition to unveil soon
The presence of gold brake calipers in this teaser, which are the same as the ones described in the initial BST announcement from the previous year, is one of the most significant clues that this teaser is, in fact, for the BST version of the Polestar 2, which will be released later this year.
On March 21, it is still being determined whether production of the Polestar 2 BST Edition will be announced, nor will it be known whether deliveries will begin.
Polestar is expected to make its official announcement in just a few days, so we will have to wait for that.
Nevertheless, one thing can be said with absolute certainty: followers of the Polestar 2 are eagerly awaiting what is certain to be a fantastic new inclusion to the lineup.
