Japanese automaker Nissan reportedly plans to remove its full-size pickup Titan, Automotive News report citing a person familiar with the matter.
Apparently, Nissan might ditch the Titan in 2024 or 2025, which aligns with the launch of the planned smaller all-electric pickup model.

That said, 2025, at the latest, could be the last model year for Nissan Titan.
Speculations on the new electric pickup model?
The future model will apparently have an all-electric powertrain. The compact pickup truck is part of the automaker’s effort to electrify its offerings in the future.
Interestingly, Nissan may have already previewed the EV with the Surf-Out concept released in 2021, per a report.
The concept features a digital panel that may show messages on the tailgate and a see-through front fascia. Nevertheless, it indicates the style that Nissan will be going for with this vehicle.
However, many things may change before it nears the production phase.
Would Nissan really ditch the full-size pickup market?
Tyler Slade, the chairman of the Nissan Dealer Advisory Board, refuses to give up on the full-size pickup market. He believes the vehicle’s commercial success depends on its availability in various market segments.
However, he apparently acknowledged that Nissan would benefit greatly from developing an electric version of the Frontier, which is a midsize vehicle. Moreover, he believes truck customers can save money by switching to electric.

Intriguingly, the upcoming electric truck could be one of the two EVs Nissan plans to produce in the US at its assembly plant in Canton, Mississippi. Nissan has disclosed plans to invest in the said factory for EV production. The automaker expects its first EV to finish production by 2025.
For now, we can only wait for the official announcement from the automaker.
