Chinese automaker Neta initiated the pre-sale of its new all-electric SUV, the Neta L, on May 26. According to Car News China, the new model features CATL’s ground-breaking Shenxing battery technology.
Pre-sale starts at 140,000 yuan ($19,700), with official market launch set for late June 2024. Deliveries will follow in the following month.
Exterior design
The new Neta L is a medium-sized electric SUV with five seats. It rides on the brand’s Shanhai 2.0 platform and has dimensions of 4770/1900/1660 mm and a wheelbase of 2810 mm.
Neta’s new electric SUV model features X-shaped headlights and triangular openings on both sides. It also sports a closed face and a lower section designed with dot matrix details.
Interior and other features
Inside, the Neta L offers two color options: orange and white. It features two 15.6-inch dual screens, incorporating the central control and co-pilot entertainment screens. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip powers the infotainment system of the car.
It offers a 583 L standard trunk space, increasing to 1,434 L when owners fold the rear seats. Impressively, it also has a built-in refrigerator with a cooling range of -6℃ to 6℃. It also features zero-gravity seats with various functionalities, such as 8-point massage, ventilation, and heating.
Other options include numerous features, including 16 speakers, headrest audio, small foldable tables for the rear passengers, wireless fast charging for mobile phones, and an AI assistant.
The Neta L also boasts advanced driving assistance features, owing to two Horizon Robotics Journey 3 smart driving chips. Some of the features include blind spot monitoring, autonomous parking assist, and automatic emergency braking.
Key specifications
The new Neta L yields an output of 170 kW (228 hp) and a torque of 310 Nm. As mentioned, it features CATL’s 68 kWh Shenxing battery packs. It enables a CLTC-rated driving range of 510 kilometers.
The top speed is rated at 180 km/h, while its fastest 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 7.6 seconds. The innovative battery also supports fast charging from 10% to 80% SoC in just 21 minutes. Increasing the range by another 180 km only takes 1 minute.
The Neta L comes with three available trims, with prices starting at only 140,000 yuan ($19,700). Neta aims to officially launch the electric SUV in the Chinese market in late June, followed by customer deliveries in July.
