American electric automaker Lucid Motors has once again reduced the pricing of its 2024 Air models, with the base variant Pure’s MSRP starting now at $69,900. Apart from the price cuts, the company also launched new customer incentives, including charger allowance and free maintenance.
Price cuts
Lucid currently only has the Air electric sedan in its product portfolio. The model already underwent considerable price reductions with the launch of the 2024 models. Nonetheless, the electric sedan with the best range to offer in the market remains expensive to most customers.
In that sense, the American EV maker has once again reduced the prices of the Air’s three trims, with the RWD Air Pure getting the highest price cut.
Presented below are Lucid Air’s price changes since the 2023 model year:
Air Trim | Pure | Touring (AWD) | Grand Touring (AWD) |
2023 MY MSRPs | $82,400 (AWD) | $95,000 | $125,600 |
2024 MY MSRPs (Dec 2023) | $77,400 (RWD) | $85,900 | $110,900 |
2024 MY MSRPs (Feb 2024) | $69,900 (RWD) | $77,900 | $109,900 |
It is worth noting that Air Pure’s updated sub-$70,000 pricing met Lucid’s original price target for the model before kicking off its production.
New charging & maintenance perks
Apart from the price cuts, Lucid seeks to entice new customers by improving “ease of ownership.” Lucid emphasized that the Air is already among the ” very fastest charging vehicles” available today.
Nonetheless, it still seeks to improve customers’ home charging experience with a new $1,000 allowance for buying a charging accessory like the high-power Lucid Connected Home Charging Station.
In addition, the automaker also launched 2-year complimentary scheduled maintenance for every purchase or lease of Lucid Air.
“We are optimistic about the future of EVs and believe strongly that increased adoption is a necessary path towards reducing the impact of climate change. We have worked tirelessly to enable the Lucid Air lineup to deliver unsurpassed range and performance from less energy, and so I’m delighted that today we are able to share this benefit with our customers.”
Lucid Motors CEO and CTO Peter Rawlinson

Lucid’s move to lower the prices of its Air EVs is undoubtedly part of its strategy to recover from a 12% year-on-year decline in customer deliveries to 1,734 EVs in the fourth quarter of 2023. Excitingly, the American brand is also on track to launch its new Gravity model to compete in the all-electric SUV segment this year.
