Toyota-owned automotive brand Lexus has just boosted the discounts for its first-ever electric vehicle model, the 2023 RZ 450e, amid the intensifying industry price war. According to CarsDirect, Lexus launched an astounding $15,000 lease cash off for the new model.

Lease discount details

Lexus currently offers two AWD variants for the 2023 RZ 450e, including the Premium and Luxury.

According to Electrek, the Premium variant has a base price of 59,650, while the Luxury variant is more expensive at $65,150.

However, that extremely high pricing makes it harder for the brand to sell the model, especially considering the ongoing price war in the electric vehicle industry.

In response, Lexus has launched a significant discount for customers who seek to lease the new RZ 450e model until November 30, 2023.

The company’s official website displayed that the 2023 RZ currently offers up to $15,000 in lease cash. Customers can now lease the Premium variant for as low as $499/month with only $4,999 due at signing.

Notably, the current deal is higher by $5,000 from the brand’s previous offer last summer of up to $10,000 discount.

About the Lexus RZ 450e

Luxury automaker Lexus initially introduced the all-electric SUV RZ 450e last April, honoring its “transition to a BEV-centered brand.”

Lexus started the deliveries of the new model in Q1 2023, with sales reaching more than 2.500 units through September.

Performance

The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e has the same 71.4 battery pack as the Toyota bZ4X, which enables a maximum driving range of 220 miles.

The two models also share the same eTNGA architecture. However, Lexus claims that its maiden EV offering will enable a unique driving experience with its “innovative design, inside and out.”

In addition, it also features paddle shifters with regenerative braking force selectors. It offers four driving modes, including Sport, Normal, ECO, Range, and Custom, to moderate exhilaration and boost efficiency.

  • Bi-LED headlamps and daytime running lights
  • Blade Taillamp
  • Auto-dimming outside mirrors with auto tilt-down in reverse
  • Rain-sensing windshield wipers
  • Panorama glass roof

NEWS: Lexus has finally released pricing for its first fully electric vehicle. Including a $1,150 destination charge, the RZ 450e starts at $59,650.

Inside, it offers a huge cabin with a smart 14-inch touchscreen and available 10-inch head-up display. It also has a panoramic sunroof that improves the overall ambiance inside the vehicle. Moreover, it also boasts a premium surround sound and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.

The Premium variant has single-color ambient lighting with Shadow Illumination, while the Luxury offers an upgraded multicolor feature. Both variants also come with an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way power lumbar adjustment and 8-way power-adjustable front passenger’s seat.

The current discount for the Lexus RZ indicates a significant reduction from the original price, even making it more affordable than the gas-powered RX model.
