South Korean automaker Kia plans to officially introduce the two new electric vehicles it recently teased in a shadowy poster, along with three other identified models.
However, an official image of the EV models has already surfaced before the special event.
Recent preview
EV-a2z previously reported Kia’s released poster for the Kia EV Day set on October 12, 2023.
As you can observe in the image above, the EV5 is in the middle, flanked by the EV6 GT (left) and EV9 (right) on either side.
Reports suggest that the second model from the right is the new EV3 electric subcompact crossover, while the second from the left is the EV4.
About the leaked EV models
Kia is set to shed light on the EV3 and EV4 details at the upcoming EV Day. It features stacked LED headlights for a starting price of approximately $30,000-$40,000. It will apparently ride on the new Integrated Modular Architecture (IMA) from the Hyundai Group.
The EV3 is a small e-SUV, while the EV4 seems to be between an SUV and a sedan.
The EV3 features a less boxy roofline than its siblings, EV5 and EV9. Meanwhile, the EV4 offers the EV9’s bulging fenders but has a sedan silhouette. It also has a funky triangular alloy wheel layout.
The EV4 will reportedly undergo production in late 2023, Car Expert reports, citing Automotive News. It further indicated that the e-SUV seems to have a similar size to the Kia Niro, with a length of 4420 mm.
Carscoops also claims the model will have a base price of under $30,000 (AU$46,600) with a 400V configuration and a single motor.
