Price and inclusions

Kia PH president Manny A. Aligada reportedly announced during the launch event that the price of the all-new EV6 GT-Line is P3.788 million.

Notably, that price comes with the following inclusions:

  • portable charger
  • 5-year or 160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty
  • 8-year or 160,000-kilometer battery system warranty
  • 5 years of free preventive maintenance system
  • 5 years of free 24/7 roadside assistance

On the other hand, the brand will offer the following color options for the EV6 model:

  • Moonscape
  • Snow White Pearl
  • Runway Red,
  • Yacht Blue
  • Aurora Black Pearl

Dealerships

Aligada further noted that there would be four Kia dealerships that would initially offer the all-electric model. However, it will gradually expand to the brand’s 42 dealerships throughout the Philippines.

“The EV6 will be available in all 42 Kia dealers nationwide but we have initially assigned four dedicated Kia EV dealers located in New Manila in Quezon City, Alabang in Muntinlupa, Sto. Tomas, Batangas in South Luzon, and Pampanga in North Luzon.”

Moreover, Aligada expressed confidence in the dealerships’ capacity to perform EV-related technical services.

“These four dealers are fully equipped with tools and systems to handle any technical requirement you may have for Service, and its staff is fully trained by Kia Philippines. This full-service capability will be expanded to other dealers very soon.”

Maintenance

Kia highlighted that the maintenance of the EV6 is way cheaper than its gas-powered counterpart, given that it does not require oil changes or replacement of spark plugs, oil filters, and the like.

“It is estimated that you will spend about P25,000 for five years in maintaining an EV6, versus P110,000 maintenance for a similar-sized ICE car over five years.”

Charging Infrastructures

The Ayala Group of Companies owns the Kia Philippines brand, along with the other automotive brands. That said, the EV6 will have access to the conglomerate’s charging infrastructures in the country.

“With charging options manufactured by Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc. (part of the Ayala Group) and its partner Greenstrum, and an expanding charging system network provided by Ayala Land, all an environment-conscious owner has to do is get in and go for an exciting and worry-free drive.”

Ayala Corp. President & CEO Cezar P. Consing also assured the customers that there would be enough charging infrastructure for them if they bought the Kia EV6.

“We made sure to put the charging architecture in place long before the arrival of the EV6.

Our strategically located charging stations are proof of our commitment to electrification. We are using the whole Ayala ecosystem to support the growth and adoption of EVs in the Philippines. We expect EV take-up to grow rapidly, and EVs to be the dominant transport technology in a few years.”
