Nissan’s automotive brand Infiniti officially announced Thursday plans to introduce its inaugural electric vehicle model through the Vision Qe concept on October 24, 2023.
The press release further noted the company’s plans to reveal “several stunning new models” for its future portfolio.
What’s currently known about the Vision Qe concept?
Car Buzz reported that Vision Qe will be Infiniti’s first all-electric vehicle offering. It will also be the brand’s only electrified model since the phaseout of the Q70 Hybrid in 2019.
Considering that the Vision Qe is just a concept, the model may have a different name in its production.
As you can see in the teaser image released by Infiniti, the concept features a sedan body style. Infiniti defines the Vision Qe as a “sleek concept” due to its curvy rear end.
According to the report, the brand will produce this model at the Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant in Mississippi alongside a Nissan EV, probably the next-gen Maxima.
It further suggests that the concept may be an all-electric counterpart for the Inifiniti Q50. GIZMOCHINA also implied that this concept is a four-door coupe that features a roofline similar to the Hyundai Ioniq 6.
Infiniti’s other future offerings
Infiniti did not elaborate on the other models it plans to unveil later this month. However, it stated that these new models will offer a “glimpse into its future model range.”
The report suggests that one of these models may be based on the previously released concept QX Monograph. However, it will not feature an all-electric powertrain.
The brand also applied to trademark QX65 in 2022, so it could also be one of the models to debut on October 24.
