What’s currently known about the N-Van e?

Honda specifically developed the N-Van e for both personal and business applications with portable power technologies and a flexible interior.

The model is part of the automaker’s plan to expand the customer base of its conventional light van offerings through electrification.

Design

The N-Van e’s exterior is almost similar to its gas-powered counterpart. The notable difference is that the electric version has recycled bumpers from retired vehicles. Honda used recycled materials for the model’s front grille and other components.

Meanwhile, the interior of the N-Van e guarantees superior comfort and convenience for drivers and passengers. It has an “easy-to-use” square space, effective storage, and high-tech functions like AC control.

Honda also boasts that the model offers smooth driving quality with a low center of gravity and improved stability. It also reduces vibration and noise compared to its ICE counterpart.

Moreover, the automaker further noted that the N-Van e is the first model to utilize “electric servo brakes that respond linearly to brake operations.” It apparently facilitates comfortable braking when decelerating and slick braking.

V2H tech

The Honda N-Van e features a portable power technology, the “Honda Power Supply Connector,” with a 1,500W capacity, enabling owners to plug in their electrical devices via its external power supply port.

It can even power household appliances in case of an emergency by plugging in the vehicle to the house’s external power supply, allowing owners to utilize it as an energy source.

“Furthermore, by using the portable external power supply devices “Power Exporter e: 6000” and “Power Exporter 9000″, high output power supply of up to 6kVA and 9kVA is possible, respectively, and the output can be reduced in the event of a disaster. You can use multiple appliances at the same time, such as an expensive refrigerator or air conditioner/heater.”

It will also offer an ECON mode that will enable drivers to lessen the AC’s energy consumption to boost the cruising range.

Honda claims that the innovations they made for the N-Van e will enable them to provide” `cars that are easy to drive, less tiring, and provide peace of mind.”

Honda has yet to disclose the key technical specifications of the N-Van e. These relevant data may occur near the model’s launch, which is set for Spring 2024 in Japan. As of now, the EV is undergoing various tests to affirm its performance, charging, battery capacity, and range. According to InsideEVs, Honda will exhibit the N-Van e’s prototype at the Japan Mobility Show on October 28.
