Great Wall Motors unveils its two car brands, ORA and WEY, to an international event, the 2022 Paris Motor Show, according to Automotive World.
The WEY Coffee 01 plug-in hybrid ranges at 146 km per battery charge. While the electric ORA CAT stands out with its adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection with a 360-degree camera, and rear collision avoidance system.
“This year’s slogan ‘Revolution is on’ embodies much of what GWM stands for: premium vehicles that enable a new, modern lifestyle with intelligent technology,” says GWM Europe President Henry Meng.
The company invites all guests to experience the comprehensive range of vehicles in Pavilion 6, booth 641.
“We are delighted to be able to showcase our electrified products at the Paris Motorshow and to be present as a company,” added Meng.
“Europe is the most important market for us outside China. And therefore, the Paris Motor Show is the opportunity to present both GWM and our vehicles to the European market.”
GWM presents three models from ORA at the Paris Show. ORA is a fashionable ‘Pure Electric Brand’ of the Chinese manufacturer. The ORA Funky Cat (with a range of 310 km/192 miles) is the next-in-line model of the car presented at the International Motor Show (IAA Mobility) last year in Munich.
There is also the ORA Funky Cat GT which GT drivers may enjoy for special air vents and a version-specific steering wheel. GWM also brings ‘The Next Ora Cat.’ It has four-wheel drive, 19-inch wheels, and a maximum torque of 68 Newton meters, which can go from 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds.
Furthermore, the premium Coffee 01 plug-in hybrid is the Chinese brand’s flagship. The pure electric range can reach up to 146 km (WLTP). With the 2-liter turbocharged combustion engine, the range can exceed 800 km in total. Coffee 1 can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just five seconds and goes from 235 km/h onwards.
The entry version Coffee 1 starts at 55,900 euro ($54,542). While the Coffee 02 will enter the C-SUV segment in the first half of 2023. Both models have a 360-degree camera, smart driving assistants, and a 14.6 touchscreen multimedia.
In addition, GWM announced its launch in Europe at the IAA Mobility last year. The automaker has been preparing for the first European countries’ market launch. The most important European markets of the brand are France and Germany.
GWM ORA will start the deliveries of the first Funky Cat in Germany this year. UK and Israel will be the next to follow.
A strong network of 60 sales and service outlets will be established nationwide by the end of Q1 2023. Santander Consumer Finance will provide the finance and leasing products.
