Tesla has been gearing up to bring the highly awaited Cybertruck at its scheduled delivery event this fall. That said, many fans have been taking spy shots and footage to track the automaker’s progress.
EV-a2z recently reported the arrival of nine Cybetruck units at the Fremont factory through three carrier trucks.
Yesterday morning, more units were spotted leaving Giga Texas:
Where would the Cybertrucks go?
Tesla has been shipping Cybertruck units for approximately a week already. Forbes cited Tesla’s Q2 2023 report indicating the shipped samples as “release candidate builds.:
The Musk-led company further noted that these Cybertrucks are undergoing the necessary testing globally to secure certification.
That said, the roughly 2 million reservation holders may need to wait longer as mass production will only occur in 2024.
Pricing
Tesla CEO Elon Musk initially aimed to price the Cybertruck at $39,900. However, he withdrew that estimate during May’s Annual Shareholder meeting.
“It’s going to be hard to make [it] affordable because it is a new car, a new manufacturing method.”

Also presented below are the initial Cybertruck pricing displayed on the official website in 2019:
Variant | Range | Price |
Single Motor RWD | 250+ miles | $39,900 |
Dual Motor AWD | 300+ miles | $49,900 |
Tri Motor AWD | 500+ miles | ,$69,900 |
All that considered, Kelly Blue Book Senior Editor now thinks that the pricing for the all-electric pickup will be way higher than the initial expectations.
“We currently estimate it will start at around $50,000. That would put it right in line with the mass-market Ford F-150 Lightning (which starts at $49,995).”

Mr. Degen further noted that the price adjustment is unsurprising. He even set the Ford F-150 Lightning as an example.
“I’m not surprised by the price change. Keep in mind, the same thing happened with the Lightning, to a point. When sales started it was also marketed at $40,000. And some early models may have sold around that price. But then the base price quickly increased. Then, this past summer, it decreased to what it is now.”
