As per the report, lightweight electric vehicles with three wheels platforms from Arcimoto and Electra Meccanica are used for the said deliveries in San Francisco Bay.
Faction has been delivering to Cocola’s clients since July, and they are actively looking for additional delivery partners going forward.
“Our partnership with Cocola is just the beginning of what we have planned for Faction.”
Faction CEO, Ain McKendrick
The Cocola Bakery’s vehicle fleet currently has autonomous tech with remote human teleoperation owing to the DriveLink and TeleAssist technologies from Faction. These technologies enable Faction to provide a seamless delivery service for Cocola Bakery.
“Cocola Bakery and our customers have been ecstatic with the services Faction has provided us so far. We are now able to quickly, affordably, and reliably deliver our products to customers around the Bay Area, something we couldn’t easily accomplish before due to inconsistent gig-worker services.”

About Faction’s driverless tech
Faction has continued to advance the technology powering its remote and driverless delivery options since its first launch. In order to qualify new customer routes, TeleAssist operators use safety drivers in vehicles under their supervision.
Every delivery includes collecting system performance and road data to help Faction continue developing its technology and expand to new clients like Cocola Bakery.
Faction CEO Ain McKendrick stated that the company is meeting its cost and service goals while still safeguarding the data required to attract new clients in the future. The company’s next approach is to provide its service to additional Bay Area businesses, providing them with a low-cost, secure, and smooth delivery.
Within the San Francisco Bay Area, Faction is growing its delivery services and starting a drive-through delivery service that costs $2 per mile.
“We’re achieving our cost and delivery targets while securing the data necessary to bring Faction and our technology to more partners in the coming year. The next phase is to make our services available to additional commercial customers in the Bay Area – restaurant chains, hardware stores, auto parts stores, and others – to maximize the use of our operating fleet while streamlining delivery in an affordable, reliable, and seamless way.”

Notably, these technologies help close the delivery driver gap in the industry as well as provide sustainable options in the city.
