Many Tesla vehicles are overpowering delivery areas in Portugal as the infamous end-of-quarter push that Tesla is so well known for gets into full gear.

Tesla appears to be stuck in its old aspects as a wave of Tesla shipments struck mainland Europe only weeks before the end of Q1 2023.

This is getting out of hand here in Portugal as the delivery centers (Lisbon and Porto) are overloaded with Teslas to deliver till the end of Q1!

Tesla’s end-of-the-quarter push

It is despite Elon Musk’s initiatives to ease the rate of deliveries and reduce reliance on the “end of the quarter push.” This push has become so severe in some areas of Portugal that new owners are being asked to collect their vehicles straight from the truck in which they were delivered.

Teslarati reports that this recent surge in deliveries has been brought to the attention of many users on Twitter in Portugal, including Richard Santos Lopes and Esther Kokkelmans.

Trucks that have taken numerous Tesla vehicles collectively are overwhelming the lots at which they are supplied, as seen in the pictures posted by both users.

A real @Tesla tsunami in Portugal, Lisbon and Porto right now. There are so many Teslas that Tesla asks the new owners to pick them up directly at the truck companies. Great news for Tesla Portugal! They do need more superchargers now💪🏻🙏🏻 📷@richardslopes83 @tesla_europe pic.twitter.com/fGarP97Nv4

The sudden surge in Tesla deliveries

As a result, Tesla is being forced to push clients to pick up their vehicles as soon as possible.

The sudden influx of Teslas is causing many people to be concerned about the lack of support for Superchargers in many regions of the world.

In particular, a significant number of users on Twitter who have noticed the wave of deliveries in Portugal have mentioned the lack of support for superchargers. That is the case, given that eight chargers are available across the entirety of the Iberian nation.

The fact that Tesla already possesses an amazingly successful quarter is surprising, especially in China and Europe, and perhaps the most surprising aspect of this push.

The data for Tesla sales for February in Europe are now complete. We have 22.6 k deliveries last month.

Tesla is working on manufacturing improvements

The Tesla Model Y has surpassed its younger sibling, the Model 3, to become Germany’s most popular electric vehicle (EV). This victory came at the expense of the Model 3.

After exceeding the forecasts of industry analysts, Tesla is expected to have a record-breaking quarter in China, according to the numbers from its insurance partners there. And in the United States, Tesla has managed to keep its position as the top luxury automaker, displacing BMW from its long-held position as the industry leader.

Although it is evident that Tesla is headed toward another successful quarter, it remains to be seen whether or not it will be able to exceed the analysts’ expectations.

The automaker does, however, have a low bar to clear to achieve an astonishing result because many people believe that Tesla could finish in a significantly lower quarter as it works to bring manufacturing improvements.
