Yangwang brand
BYD formally introduced the new Yangwang brand on January 26. It revealed that the first models of the luxury brand will be the Yangwang U8 and U9.
The brand launched a new driving technology, e4 or “Yisifang.” For context, it is a “new wheel-side motor that powers the vehicle through four independent motors without relying on the steering wheel to turn,” Cars News China indicated. This technology allows the car to hit 360-degree steering in a single spot.
These two EVs will apparently utilize the e4 technology, with the U8 as the first model.
