Furthermore, the second deployment will add more accredited service centers to create an extensive network available in numerous European countries.
The Munich-based solar mobility OEM will provide full training to the workers at Bosch Car Service partner workshops beforehand. Therefore, the Bosch team will be capable of repairing high-voltage, photovoltaic, and safety systems with the help of, when needed, Sono Motors Technical Field Service.
Locating a service center made easier
A banner that reads “Sono Motors Service Partner” is displayed outside only authorized partner workshops. They are the only ones authorized to perform all maintenance, warranty work, and repairs.
Sono Motors plans to provide a Bosch Car Service workshop finder on its website to make it even easier to locate the best repair shop.
Bosch Vice President of Workshop Concepts Thomas Winter stated:
“In Sono Motors we have found an innovative partner who is exploring the exciting field of solar electric mobility. The innovative technology and skills provided by Sono Motors to the Bosch Car Service network ensure that customers will receive reliable services for their vehicles. This further underlines the Electric Vehicle competence of Bosch Car Service and helps to win and retain also new customer groups.”
However, Sono Motors encourages all Sion owners to perform their maintenance and repairs if possible. The automaker intends to offer online tutorials for some DIY maintenance as an additional solution to its website. CEO Laurin Hahn stated:
“To us, the Sion is a symbol of independence. Of course, you should take your car to a repair shop when there is a problem, but we want our customers to feel confident enough to perform minor repairs, such as replacing a light bulb or a wiper blade, themselves.”
