The BMW Concept XM was first introduced in late 2021. BMW M is innovating by making an SUV rather than a sporty sedan. It indicates a growing preference for larger and SUV-style vehicles.
Midway through 2022, the BMW XM was officially announced. Orders are now being processed, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2023.
According to Electrek, the American and Chinese markets are the key target markets for the BMW XM, contrary to the previous criticism when it was launched to honor the 50 years of Motorsport. The automaker is now anticipating success for this vehicle after reportedly receiving excellent feedback.
At the local unveiling in northern Bucharest on October 19, BMW reported that BMW XM had already received 15 orders. It is anticipated to cost roughly €180,000 with additional options.

Pocket-lint reported that the BMW XM is more than a fresh X model with the M touch. It is intended to serve as a cornerstone at the pinnacle of BMW’s lineup. On one side is the BMW X7, while on the other is the 7 Series.
Remarkably, the split headlights on the BMW XM have top daytime running lights. It is isolated from the dynamic LED Matrix headlights that are set below. This feature is also present on the 7 Series and X7. Meanwhile, the prominent kidney grille incorporated in the BMW XM is smaller than the BMW iX.
It has the typical BMW sports seats up front, which are intended to hold you securely in place as you turn. On the other hand, the second row is incredibly roomy. It has extensive legroom, a nearly flat floor, and a unique feature: seat bolsters on the back doors.
Nonetheless, SUVs have been gaining popularity in the automotive market. It is not surprising as SUVs are heavier and taller than sedans, giving passengers a sense of security. Additionally, an SUV’s higher ride height provides the driver with a broader perspective of the road ahead, making it simpler to maneuver around other vehicles and obstructions.
