Indian automaker Ather Energy has launched its new electric scooter Ather 450X to widen the reach of its offerings to customers. The Ather 450X offers two variants: the base model 450X and the high-end trim 450X Pro.

Performance and charging
Ather’s 450X and 450X Pro Pack utilize a similar potent PMSM motor. Therefore, they can both provide a 6.4kWh top power capacity and a 26 Nm peak torque.
Moreover, they boast an acceleration time of 0-40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds, with a max speed of 90 kmph.
It is worth noting that a charger is provided with the Ather 450X’s base model. However, the Pro Pack is available with a faster charger that allows 0 to 80% in just 4 hours and 30 minutes of charging capacity. The Pro Pack also grants you access to Ather’s nationwide network of 1300+ fast public charging stations. These stations allow you to charge your scooter at speeds up to 1.5 km/min.

Connectivity
The base trim Ather 450X features a 7-inch color TFT touchscreen display. It supports 16 million colors with light and dark themes.
However, the Pro Pack offers access to Ather Connect Pro, which features the following:
- always-on 4G LTE and GPS
- built-in Google Maps with real-time traffic view
- Ather App
Notably, the Ather App allows the following functions:
- remote charging monitor
- ride stats
- savings tracker
- nearby Ather Grid stations navigation
- push location to the electric scooter
Apart from these, the pro pack also offers the following features:
- document storage on the dashboard
- theft and tow alerts
- Bluetooth connectivity with a smartphone (accept/reject calls and control music playback)
Convenience and ride modes
The Ather 450X offers five various ride modes: Eco, Smart Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp. It also has a TrueRange display for the driver to know the estimated remaining range.
Meanwhile, the Pro Pack is equipped with the following features:
- AutoHold
- Reverse Assist
- Guide Me home lights
- Auto cut-off indicators
In addition, it also has the Ather TPMS, which remotely monitors tire pressure. It also has safety and puncture alerts.

Warranty and pricing
The Ather 450X and 450X Pro Pack have a vehicle and charger warranty of 30,000 km/3-year. Meanwhile, the 450X Pro Pack offers an extra 30,000 km/2 years battery warranty.
The base model costs INR 98,079, while the Pro Pack costs INR 1,28,443.
