Aston Martin is planning a major redesign of its model lineup, and more details will be revealed at a financial markets day for investors later this year.
According to the company’s chairman Lawrence Stroll, the range will also have a fully electric vehicle, which will be announced this summer.
DB11 to unveil this year
Some spies recently captured the successor to today’s DB11, which is expected to be unveiled later this year.
Stroll confirmed the Vantage and DBS would be overhauled during an earnings call with investors sooner this week.
The DB11 is the oldest of the three and is expected to be the first to reach dealers and buyers. It will likely get a facelift or a full-generation change after being released in 2016.
You will see the cars this summer that are going to take us through our combustion story, our hybrid story, and take us through our plans for electrification, It will be a real clear vision of the journey I’ve been building for the last three years

Aston Martin to release 7,000 vehicles this year
When Stroll took over as chairman of Aston Martin, replacing Andy Palmer, the brand’s previous electric vehicle projects, the Rapide E and Lagonda, were canceled.
Instead, the British company plans to manufacture two other electric vehicles, a sports car and an SUV, at its Gaydon plant in the middle of the decade. We are more likely to understand more about one of the two electrical products after the capital markets day this summer.
With good news from the company’s financial department – a quarterly operating profit of £6.6 million (approximately $7.9 million at current exchange rates) in the last three months – it appears that Aston Martin has the financial capacity to develop and launch its first electric vehicle.
Moreover, the company anticipates selling 7,000 cars this year, with the DBX predicted to be the best-seller once again.
Last year, the Gaydon-based carmaker delivered approximately 6,400 vehicles worldwide.
