It is the first model to join the automaker’s “Dynasty” series passenger vehicles. As obvious, its name is derived from China’s Tang dynasty, which was the most prosperous of all dynasties then.

It was China’s best-selling plug-in electric passenger car in China, the world’s best-selling PHEV, and the world’s best-selling PHEV in 2016.

New Features in 2023

The 2023 BYD Tang has a distinctive European design aesthetic along with a wide range of new technologies to attract tech-savvy buyers, including the following:

·       new, game-changing Blade Battery

·       class-leading NEDC-estimated range of over 500km

In addition, it also now has new alloy wheels. Its rear design has also been upgraded with a sportier bumper that has relocated the light reflectors, black fins, and tiny vertical air winds. The automaker also removed its grilles to align with the rest of the Dynasty EV portfolio.
