Chinese tech giant Xiaomi’s goal of penetrating the automotive industry seems to be increasingly coming to fruition.

In hindsight, the company’s CEO announced early March that the Xiaomi Automobile brand expects to begin electric vehicle production as early as next year.

As usual for the auto industry, interesting information about the Xiaomi EV’s battery has leaked into the online space.

New leaked details about the Xiaomi EV

The most recent leaked details about the upcoming Xiaomi EV originated from renowned auto blogger @MataAuto, unveiling the EV’s battery details through a blog post.

For starters, he claims that the battery of the Xiaomi EV has an A1310C model number and an f47832 manufacturer code.

More interestingly, the EV is said to feature a 642.0kg li-ion battery with a remarkable 726.7V voltage. It also has a 139.0Ah and 101.0kW battery capacity.

Considering these remarkable capacities, the Xiaomi EV is not expected to offer a high-voltage fast charging feature of up to 800V. Other auto bloggers supported the claim, suggesting the battery is probably a ternary lithium version.

It appears to be a battery pack related to Xiaomi's rumored electric vehicle.

There have also been previous leaks regarding the EV’s trademark and design. The company reportedly applied for the “Modena” trademark registration in late February.

Apart from that, leaked photos suggest that the EV will be a med-sized fastback sedan with two different variants.

As for the pricing, recent reports estimate that the brand’s first electric sedan will start at about 300,000 yuan.

Xiaomi’s leaked battery details are indeed a remarkable development for the company as it aims to penetrate the highly competitive EV industry. The claimed fast charging features and high battery capacity are some of the most significant factors that spark customers’ interest. Therefore, if these speculated battery specs turn out to be true, the brand will certainly have a major impact on the market.
