About Green and Smart Mobility
VinGroup claims that GMS is the first multi-platform sustainable transport rental and taxi service in the world. It carries a mission to promote electric mobility while advocating a green lifestyle.
Remarkably, it has a 3,000 billion VND or about $125.7 million charter capital. As mentioned, it was established by the VinGroup Chairman, who owns the majority of stock at 95%.
Per the press release, VinGroup will first release 10,000 cars and 100,000 motorbikes as part of the initial investment.
As stated, GMS will engage in the vehicle rental and electric taxi services sectors using VinFast electric vehicles. To be more precise, it aims to supply electric car rental services to conventional and online taxi service companies as well as to their staff members.
Nonetheless, the new company will also run its own electric car taxi service simultaneously.
The report noted that the first all-electric taxi company in Vietnam is expected to officially launch in April in Hanoi. It plans to gradually expand across the nation in the following months.
“Whether it is just a few dozen minutes in a taxi or a few weeks or months of renting, customers will have the opportunity to experience the smart features and convenience of electric vehicles. In this way, we can accelerate the smart electric vehicle revolution faster and stronger in Vietnam.”
