Meet VinFast’s new mini electric SUV
VinFast officially introduced the new VF 3 mini electric SUV at CES 2024 in January 2024. At the time, the company declared its plans to launch the VinFast VF 3 in the global market, including the United States.
The global launch plan demonstrates VinFast’s dedication to meet the growing demand for affordable electric vehicle models worldwide.
VinFast developed the new mini electric SUV for driving through the city. It is smaller than the new Volvo EX30 (167″ long X 72″ wide X 61″ tall) at 125.6″ length, 66.1″ width, and 63.8″ height.
The VinFast VF 3 features a 10″ infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Its second-row seats are capable of all-in folding, expanding the cargo space to up to 550 liters.
The VinFast VF 3’s 32 kW electric motor generates 110 Nm of torque. Its rear-wheel drive configuration enables it to accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. Its 18.64 kWh lithium-ion battery delivers an NEDC-rated driving range of up to 210 km between charges. Moreover, its fast charging capability supports 10% to 70% replenishment in just 36 minutes.
“These impressive figures, particularly for a mini-SUV, cater to diverse driving needs. The VF 3 promises to be a game-changer, accelerating VinFast’s mission of bringing electric vehicles to everyone.”

More remarkably, VinFast also extends its industry-leading warranty to the new mini electric SUV. It offers seven years or 160,000 km for the vehicle (whichever comes first) and eight years with unlimited kilometers for the battery.
VinFast stock surged 8% on Thursday and 44% from the prior month. However, shares remain down 34% in 2024 and more than 90% compared to their ATH in August 2023, shortly after going public.
VinFast plans to kick off VF 3 production soon, with initial deliveries in Vietnam set for August. It aims to ship at least 20,000 VF 3 units by the end of the year.
