Vietnamese electric automaker VinFast has finally launched its first B-SUV segment entrant, VF 6. According to Viet Nam News, customers can place an order for the model starting on October 20, with a base price of 675 million VND.
The VinFast VF 6 will offer two available trims, including the Base and Plus. The Base trim costs 675 million VND, plus 90 million VND for the battery. Meanwhile, the Plus trim will sell for 765 million VND, excluding the 90 million VND battery cost.
Technical details
The VF 6 features a single electric motor driving the front wheels and a 59.6 kW LFP battery pack.
The Base trim enables a WLTP-estimated driving range of up to 399 km between charges. Its electric motor has a maximum output of 100 kW and torque of 135 Nm.
Meanwhile, the Plus trim has a 381 km range under WLTP standards. It will also have a maximum power of 150 kW and a torque of 310 Nm.
It will also support Highway Assist (Level 2) driving technology by early 2024 through a complimentary over-the-air (OTA) update.
Exterior
Vinfast VF 6 is an elegant electric compact SUV designed by the popular Torino Design. It has a remarkable V-shaped LED “eyebrows” and a wide range of bright exterior hues.
The new model is 4,238mm long, 1,820mm wide, 1,594mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,730mm. It also features 5-spoke alloy wheels of up to 19″ to improve the overall appearance. It also has five available body paint options.
Interior
The Vinfast VF 6 offers a comfortable and spacious interior despite being a compact SUV owing to its strategic dimensions, Auto123 noted.
VinFast has also just launched the Mocca Brown interior color to meet local customers’ varying preferences. It also has a copper-colored trim.
The five-seat model’s door handles were also accentuated by perforated faux leather.
It will also have a wide range of advanced technologies and smart features to improve the model’s entertainment qualities. It will feature a virtual assistant to facilitate car-driver interaction. Apart from that, it offers a 12.9″ touchscreen display and connectivity.

VinFast will officially open pre-orders for the VF 6 on October 20 in Vietnam. It plans to start deliveries by the end of the year. The automaker will also offer industry-leading after-sales policies, including a 7-year/160,000 km warranty, among others.
