Ford once more saw a year-over-year increase in sales of all-electric vehicles, according to InsideEVs. It reported an increase of 103% to 6,255 units last month, representing 4.5% of the total volume.
Furthermore, the American automaker also claimed that its EV sales increased twice the rate of the EV segment in November.
Ford and Lincoln car sales in the US
Ford and Lincoln car sales in the United States as a whole fell to 146,364 in November, a nearly 8% year-over-year decline. Strong demand is reported by the automaker, suggesting that there is still a shortage of new cars on the market.
- Ford sales: 140,260 (down 7.9%) and 1,608,965 (down 2.6%)
- Lincoln sales: 6,104 (down 5.0%) and 76,220 (down 5.6%)

“Ford share of the electric vehicle segment expanded about 2 percentage points over a year ago – standing at 8.6 percent share for the month. Ford’s electric vehicles are conquesting from competitor vehicles at a rate of over 60 percent this year.”

November 2022 results
- Ford Mustang Mach-E: 3,539 (up 15%)
- Ford F-150 Lightning: 2,062 (new)

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is still the automaker’s most popular BEV in terms of volume, with a 15% YoY increase to 3,539 units sold in November. In the US, more than 34,000 Mach-E have been sold thus far this year.
Additionally, 2,062 Ford F-150 Lightning units were sold, roughly in line with the six-month average. Simply said, the initial production rate might be estimated to be around 2,000 units per month.
On the other hand, 654 Ford E-Transits in total were sold in November. Undoubtedly, this model is the most popular all-electric commercial van in America. In fact, Ford also mentioned that 5,811 E-Transit had been sold this year thus far, which accounts for nearly 80% of its all-electric commercial vans segment.
Ford has sold more than 53,000 all-electric vehicles YTD, representing an increase of 117% over last year.

It is worth noting that Ford ranks after Tesla in America as the second-best-selling brand and EV manufacturer. It would be interesting to watch these two automakers compete against each other in the following year.
