Ford and its brand Lincoln reported a slight sales decline of 0.5% YoY to 145,559 vehicles in November, according to its sales report. This year to date, total sales have surged 7% YoY to more than 1.8 million units.
However, what’s more interesting in Ford’s November performance is the sales of its all-electric vehicle (BEV) models.
BEV sales
Ford enjoyed a significant sales growth of 43% YoY to a record-breaking 8,958 units in November. This sales figure also enabled the brand to hit a new record of 6.4% BEV share of its overall volume, InsideEVs noted.
Notably, Ford’s strong sales performance last month is primarily due to the popularity of the F-150 Lightning.

In hindsight, Ford sold a total of 61,575 BEVs in Full Year 2022. It accounted for 3.5% of the brand’s overall volume. Therefore, Ford has already surpassed the 2022 record this year with one month remaining.
Ford’s notable sales growth is primarily boosted by the Ford F-150 Lightning, which marked its second straight monthly sales record last month. However, the model’s popularity may be significantly affected by the arrival of the Tesla Cybertruck.
To stay competitive, Ford introduced the new “Flash” trim to the 2024 Lightning portfolio. It claims to have contemporary features, a driving range of up to 320 miles, Ford’s Tow Tech Package, and a heat pump for $69,995.
