BEV Sales – Q4 2022

BMW reported 8,689 BEV deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2022, indicating a substantial increase from just 199 units in 2021. That figure has set another quarterly record for the automaker, owning 8.5% of the overall volume.

Unfortunately, delivery figures from the MINI are not disclosed:

  • BMW BEV sales: 8,689 (up from 199 a year ago)
  • MINI BEV sales: N/A

BMW and Mini’s EV sales surged to 15,584 units in 2022, representing approximately 4.7% of the overall volume.

  • MINI BEV sales: N/A

Meanwhile, the company has yet to disclose its PHEV or the entire PEV results.

Furthermore, the following plug-in hybrids are available from the automaker: X5 xDrive45e, BMW 330e, BMW 530e, and the XM, which will be on sale in Q1 2023.

“With three fully electric BMW vehicles and several plug-in variants now available at US dealerships, we are firmly on the road to electrification, offering our customers all of the performance, technology, luxury, and quality that BMW is known for – now also in an emissions free package. At the same time, I’d like to recognize the pivotal role that our dealer network and Plant Spartanburg continue to play in our sales success in the US.”

North America’s BMW CEO & President Sebastian Mackensen

Besides, BMW Group also sells the all-electric MINI CooperSE and the PHEV Cooper S E Countryman ALL4 under the MINI brand. However, these EVs do not have data on sales.

There is no denying that BMW has performed very well in 2022. That said, it would be exciting to watch this major player’s achievements in the auto industry this 2023.
