Tesla has begun offering some of the upgraded Model 3 electric sedans it previously used for demo drives at discounted prices in the US and Canadian markets.

On Saturday, numerous customers noticed the appearance of demo Tesla Model 3 units on the company’s official website in the US and Canada.
These demonstration units, with just over a thousand miles on the odometer, are available at discounted prices hundreds of dollars lower than new units.

Vehicle condition
Notably, the demo Tesla Model 3 unit comes with a limited warranty that ends in January 2028 or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. It also includes battery and drive unit limited warranties that last until January 2032 or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
The Musk-led company also indicated that the conditions of the available demo Tesla Model 3 units “meets Tesla’s cosmetic and mechanical standards.”
“Every Demo/Previous-Demo Tesla has passed an internal inspection and may undergo light repairs to be prepared for sale. Normal wear and tear indicative of the age and mileage of the car should be expected.”

Demo drives and market launch
In hindsight, Tesla formally started offering refreshed Model 3 customers with demo drives in January 2024.
It officially launched the updated Tesla Model 3 in various European and Asian markets in 2023.
Many Tesla fans have already spotted the electric sedan being tested multiple times in the US in the months before the North American launch.
Most recently, Tesla finally introduced the highly awaited Model 3 Performance variant. It comes with an updated drive unit and improved performance overall. Moreover, it is the only Tesla Model 3 variant that qualifies for the federal tax credit of $7,500.
