Electric vehicle adoption continues to progress on a global scale amid the governments’ and automakers’ collaborative efforts to promote sustainable mobility. However, they have yet to encourage more drivers to join the shift away from fossil fuel-powered vehicles.
People have started to grow interest in electric vehicles, but most prospective buyers prefer at least 300 miles of range to support their daily travel. Most importantly, they take into account the model’s affordability.
Without further ado, here are the top 20 cheapest electric vehicle models 300 miles (or more) of EPA range in the United States in 2024:

Coverage
The US market apparently has more than 300 individual electric vehicle configurations, including those available for order, reservation, and upcoming models, based on battery sizes, ranges, powertrain setups, and wheels. Notably, all these factors have a direct impact on the price and range of electric vehicles.
The list above only included 34 EVs with at least 300 miles of EPA Combined range and a starting effective cost of less than $65,000. For context, the effective cost is basically the combined amount of the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, destination charge (DST), extra obligatory fees, and a federal tax credit (if available).
Notes
Some of the range and pricing figures indicated in the list are estimated or “unofficial.” Therefore, it would be ideal for interested customers to check the brand’s official website first for confirmation.
As mentioned, the list covers electric vehicle models on sale in the US, which have available range and pricing data. It also includes several forthcoming models and a few discontinued EVs for reference.
It is also worth mentioning that some destination fees include extra charges, particularly with Tesla EVs. The changes in the US federal tax credit rules since January 2024 also had a direct impact on the model’s effective cost.
In addition, battery capacity usually presents the total amount, but other brands like Ford only release the usable value. Meanwhile, others do not clarify whether the value is net or total.
The US hit a new high in electric vehicle sales of about 1.2 million units in 2023, as per Kelley Blue Book’s data. This impressive sales growth aided the market to raise its share to 7.6% of all vehicles sold in the country at the time. All that said, the US market has a strong potential to further boost its electric vehicle uptake once more affordable EV options with at least 300 miles of range arrive in the following years.
