Due to the fact that electric vehicles are still a relatively new technology, their prices are initially higher than those of conventional automobiles. However, since automakers are beginning to offer body designs to fit the wants and spending power of a larger variety of purchasers, its recent popularity alters that.

Model Q4 e-tron | Version 35 Sport | List price £44,690 | Target Price £44,250 | Target PCP £531 | Star rating 4

The Audi Q4 e-tron is priced accordingly for an electric SUV with a premium badge. It is also elegant, practical, and cozy. The selected Sport level includes heated front seats, three-zone temperature control, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The 35 model’s official range is only 212 miles, which is quite limited.

BMW

The BMW i4 model line will be available in different versions covering ranges of up to 590km (WLTP).

With a power output of up to 390kW, the BMW i4 can accelerate from zero to 100km/h in around 4 seconds. pic.twitter.com/Q9HnLoUZGg

— 𝑶𝒕𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝑲 (@OtsileJK) March 17, 2021

Model i4 | Version eDrive40 Sport | List price £53,480 | Target Price £52,823 | Target PCP £670 | Star rating 5

The appealing option for the Tesla Model 3 is the i4. It is swift, cozy, and really polished. Additionally, it has a great range. According to official testing, this base eDrive40 model, for instance, can go 367 miles on a single charge.

Citroen

Model e-C4 | Version Sense | List price £30,995 | Target Price £29,788 | Target PCP £378 | Star rating 3

The Citroen e-C4 is a sophisticated and fashionable coupé SUV. Despite its arching roofline, it boasts a stylish interior and a smooth ride. Keyless entry, dual-zone temperature control, and a ton of safety features are all included on the entry-level Sense.

Cupra

With the best will in the world, the CUPRA Born is just a VW ID.3 with a smushed nose ⚡️🔌 pic.twitter.com/ZQdeOjB7nm

— Dan (@Danforrister) April 17, 2022

Model Born | Version 58kWh V1 | List price £34,715 | Target Price £34,715 | Target PCP £410 | Star rating 5

The Volkswagen ID 3’s best features are carried over into the Cupra Born, which also has an improved infotainment system and a somewhat more polished cabin. The entry-level V1 also comes equipped with technology that is similar to that of an ID 3 Life, including LED lighting and a wealth of safety equipment. The VW’s steel wheels are replaced with 18-inch alloy wheels.

DS

From new experiences to wonders, expand your horizon and take it to the road with DS 3 CROSSBACK E-TENSE.

Model DS 3 Crossback E-Tense | Version Bastille | List price £35,670 | Target Price £34,972 | Target PCP £443 | Star rating 3

Some of the combustion engine-powered DS 3 Crossback’s flaws have been addressed by its transition to electric. Although it is calmer and a bit less contentious on rough roads, competitors like the Kia Niro EV still have longer ranges, are more enjoyable to drive, and are more useful.

Fiat

too damn cute! the latest electric car to hit our shores is the Fiat 500 Electric

priced from RM250k, it can go up to 460 km in a pure urban cycle thanks to its 42 kWh battery. pic.twitter.com/HslwrYCUzH

— Paul Tan 🚦 199 (@paultantk) September 22, 2022

Model 500 | Version 24kWh Action | List price £24,435 | Target Price £24,435| Target PCP £265 | Star rating 4

The entry-level 24kWh Action version of the Fiat 500 is a cute and quirky little electric car that is also one of the least expensive. The official range is modest, at 115 miles, which is a trade-off for that value.

Ford

Whether it's the silver I had last year or this bright Cyber Orange, I think the Mustang Mach-E is a GREAT looking SUV. pic.twitter.com/qVtdKyJcSp

— Jared Rosenholtz (@jar_rosenholtz) September 22, 2022

Model Mustang Mach-E | Version Standard Range RWD | List price £50,030 | Target Price £50,030 | Target PCP £597 | Star rating 2

Particularly for the Standard Range RWD variant, the Ford Mustang Mach-E comes well-equipped and at a reasonable price. The 265bhp engine has enough power for most conditions and accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 6.9 seconds, which is quicker than the Volkswagen ID 4 Pro Performance.

Genesis

Saw the new Genesis GV60 today at Hyundai headquarters. I love it ! pic.twitter.com/QTFME9Dnzf

— TREV PAGE (@Model3Owners) May 12, 2022

Model GV60 | Version Premium | List price £47,005 | Target Price £47,005 | Target PCP NA | Star rating 5

One of the greatest electric vehicles available, the Genesis GV60 is quick to charge and go straight. The inside is also incredibly roomy and luxurious. Additionally, the entry-level Premium version of the GV60 has the longest certified range of 321 miles per charge.

Honda

Model E | Version Advance | List price £36,920 | Target Price £35,837 | Target PCP £426 | Star rating 3

Although the Honda E is a little electric car with a respectable interior and fun-to-drive exterior, its stated range of just 137 miles is not very impressive. That’s a lot less than the 239 miles that the cheapest Renault Zoe is supposedly capable of.

Hyundai

With its exhilarating & innovative technology, the Hyundai Kona Electric stands out from others of its kind.

Hyundai’s least expensive electric vehicle, the Kona Electric, nevertheless comes with many standard features. The base model has a 39kWh battery installed for a stated range of up to 189 miles.

Jaguar

Model I-Pace | Version EV400 S | List price £66,350 | Target Price £63,719 | Target PCP £640 | Star rating 4

With the BMW iX3 and Genesis GV60 as competitors, Jaguar’s unique take on the electric vehicle is the I-Pace. The vehicle’s official range is 292 miles, propelled by two electric motors that provide a combined 395bhp. Keyless entry, dual-zone temperature control, and ambient inside lighting are just a few of the many comforts included with the suggested trim, the entry-level S.

Kia

Model Soul EV | Version Maxx | List price £32,895 | Target Price £32,895 | Target PCP £504 | Star rating 4

The Soul EV is now Kia’s most affordable electric vehicle, and it’s also an excellent one due to the introduction of the new Kia Niro EV. It performs well, has an excellent range, and is well-equipped. All versions have heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and electrically heated and folding door mirrors as standard equipment.

Model UX | Version 300e UX | List price £44,095 | Target Price £43,120 | Target PCP £474 | Star rating 2

The Lexus UX 300e is a stylish family SUV appropriate for city driving.

Model MX-30 | Version Prime Line | List price £30,050 | Target Price £29,600 | Target PCP £325 | Star rating 3

The Mazda MX-30 is an electric SUV that is reasonably priced, well-equipped and has a stylish cabin. Even the Prime Line model has automatic wipers, power-folding door mirrors, and a head-up display. But with a stated range of only 124 miles, it is far less practical and well behind several competitors.

Mercedes

Say hello to the new and all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQA. The range consists of just one model, the EQA 250 which has a range of up to 429 km. Pricing for the EQA 250 starts from a competitive R1,169,500.#MercedesBezEQA #EQA #FOM22 pic.twitter.com/p57db5MEXC

— Khulekani on Wheels (@khuleonwheels) August 26, 2022

Model EQA | Version 250 Sport | List price £50,510 | Target Price £49,461 | Target PCP £582 | Star rating 3

Regardless of the budget, there aren’t many electric vehicles that can match the Mercedes EQA’s combination of eye-catching design, cutting-edge technology, and superb build quality. The Sport has loads of technology, 18-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, and automatic temperature control.

MG

I must say I do like the new electric MG4 pic.twitter.com/WQgONT6qYx

— Pete Shaw (@DJSUREO) September 24, 2022

Model MG 4 | Version 51kWh SE | List price £25,995 | Target Price £25,995 | Target PCP NA | Star rating 4

Due to its pricing advantage against its competitors, the MG 4 is somewhat of a game-changer in the field of electric vehicles. For instance, this entry-level model is over $10,000 cheaper than the Volkswagen ID 3 counterpart. You also receive a car that’s comfy and competent to drive for the price.

Mini

— AI Generated Cars (@GeneratedCars) September 18, 2022

Model Leaf | Version 40kWh Acenta | List price £28,995 | Target Price £26,897 | Target PCP £282 | Star rating 3

The Nissan Leaf is a good car to drive and comes well equipped but lags behind much younger competitors. Many are plusher, easier to drive, and can travel further on a single charge. The regular 40kWh Leaf, though, still has some appeal if you’re on a tight budget.

Peugeot

Model e-208 | Version Active Premium+ | List price £30,195 | Target Price £28,872 | Target PCP £400 | Star rating 4

The Peugeot e-208 offers a great cabin, a stylish exterior, and a fair driving experience. It is considerably less expensive and has a longer range than its somewhat bigger e-2008 sister. The entry-level Active Premium+ model has automated climate control, rain-sensing wipers, rear parking sensors, and a steering wheel covered in leather.

Polestar

#EVs #Tesla #Polestar #ClimateChange – The new 408 hp electric Polestar 2 can do 0-60 mph in 4.7 and drive 275 miles. Made in China by Volvo's parent company Geely and competes vs. the Tesla 3. What do you think? Attractive? Interesting? Or what? https://t.co/uqVhvl2ak7. pic.twitter.com/tCKgKzNOfq

Model Zoe | Version R135 Techno | List price £29,995 | Target Price £28,618 | Target PCP £300 | Star rating 3

With the R135 variant, the Renault Zoe has a stated range of 239 miles, is quite affordable, and is quite practical. The Peugeot e-208 is a better buy overall, despite its poor driving position, poor safety rating, and less pleasant ride, but only if you can deal with the e-208’s reduced range.

Model Enyaq iV | Version 60 Loft | List price £38,480 | Target Price £38,480 | Target PCP £489 | Star rating 5

The Skoda Enyaq iV is well-equipped, practical, enjoyable to drive, and stylish inside. The 60 edition is a fantastic deal as well. However, the 80 version is better if a lengthy range is preferred. Compared to the 60’s 246 miles of official range, it has a maximum range of 338 miles.

Smart

If there was ever a car destined to be electric, it's the Smart EQ Fortwo, a tiny two-seater best suited to congested, smog-filled cities.

— Elite Vehicle Charging (@elite_charging) September 16, 2022

Model Fortwo EQ | Version Premium | List price £22,225 | Target Price £20,538 | Target PCP £272 | Star rating 2

At the moment, Smart only sells the Fortwo EQ, which is a vehicle that works well in cities because of its tiny size and ability to maneuver through tight spaces. However, it has a weak range and constrained practicability.

Tesla

— Sawyer Merritt (@SawyerMerritt) August 5, 2022

Model Model 3 | Version RWD | List price £48,490 | Target Price £48,490 | Target PCP NA | Star rating 5

The Tesla Model 3 has plenty of technology and is enjoyable to drive. Even the entry-level RWD version has a respectable certified range of up to 305 miles and is reasonably priced and well-equipped. It’s hard to surpass when considering Tesla’s excellent charging infrastructure.

Vauxhall

GROUP TEST: It’s been 40 years since the Nova hit UK roads, so we’ve driven every generation of Vauxhall supermini from then right up to the current all-electric Corsa-e model to see how things have changed…>> https://t.co/FuczjOOb1m pic.twitter.com/oicrerUgkp

— Auto Express (@AutoExpress) December 24, 2021

Model Corsa-e | Version GS Line | List price £29,305 | Target Price £28,020 | Target PCP £336 | Star rating 3

The Corsa-e is a great all-around vehicle and Vauxhall’s least expensive electric vehicle. A large amount of standard equipment is included with the entry-level GS Line. This includes phone mirroring for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED lighting, and rear parking sensors.

Volkswagen

Cupra Born

— Tesla_Adri (@tesla_adri) March 25, 2022

Model ID 3 | Version Life | List price £36,195 | Target Price £35,574 | Target PCP £417 | Star rating 5

The Volkswagen ID 3 has replaced the Volkswagen e-Up as the company’s least expensive electric vehicle. It is efficient and has a large range. However, the interior’s quality and design might be much better.

Volvo

The electric XC40 Recharge may be making headlines lately but the standard combustion-engined Volvo XC40 has always been one of the more enticing options in the small luxury SUV segment. Find out in our road test review. https://t.co/El4Fixu09u pic.twitter.com/9ZxFc73ecy

— OVERDRIVE (@odmag) September 24, 2022

Model XC40 Recharge | Version 67kWh Core | List price £45,750 | Target Price £45,250 | Target PCP £526 | Star rating 4

The cabin of the Volvo XC40 Recharge is inviting. It has a respectable electric range, performs well, and has a great safety record. An adequate amount of equipment is included in the Core trim’s lower specification, including automatic wipers and LED lighting. Even more, features include keyless entry, ambient inside lighting, and an effective interior heating system that increases the car’s range in cold weather.
