Tesla’s revamped Model 3, known as the “Project Highland,” was spotted by a famous Tesla whisperer on California’s public roads.
According to The Kilowatts, this recent appearance of the Highland prototype was the first sighting in several weeks.
As you can see in the video attached to the Tweet above, the Highland prototype turned left, showing similar rear blinkers and taillights with the Model Y.
Notable changes
The Kilowatts noted that the changes in the Highland Model 3 include new headlights, HW 4 cameras, and a Model S-like diffusor.
These features confirmed previous rumors regarding potential updates in the revamped Model 3.
For context, the new HW 4 cameras will improve the Model 3’s self-driving capabilities, a major appeal of Tesla cars.

Apart from that, Tesla’s Giga Shanghai recently employed a production halt for the world’s most sought-after electric vehicle Tesla Model 3, which hints at the imminent production start of the updated version.
