What happened?

Two unnamed individuals allegedly trespassed on a Tesla storage facility in Florida. They reportedly removed the Tesla Model 3 Ludicrous’ cover to inspect it.

“The vehicle was located in a storage yard, which is often where vehicles relating to testing and ADAS can be stored for overflow. You have to jump a fence/trespass to enter. The vehicle was left unlocked, but required removing the cover.”

As per the leaked video, the electric car’s screen displays a Tesla Test Engineer’s name. It suggests the Tesla Model 3 Ludicrous’ potential involvement in ADAS testing.

It is also worth noting that the screen displayed the odometer reading in km, suggesting that the model is in Europe.

Key features

The leaked photos and videos revealed some new features of the impending Tesla Model 3 Ludicrous variant, based on the “Ludicrous” badging. It also comes with some exciting features, including the following:

  • Innovative Auto-Shift Drive and Reverse functionality
  • A potential Adaptive Suspension
  • An “Insane” acceleration option
  • a 2170 Panasonic Battery Pack
  • a CATL 16V low-voltage battery
  • Performance Chassis
  • PUR Premium Seats
  • Active Suspension (Two modes: Standard and Sport)

Here are some Model 3 ‘Ludicrous’ details without posting the leaked videos/photos.

For context, the Auto Shift feature improves the Tesla Model 3 Ludicrous’ automation by enabling it to veer between Drive and Reverse even without manual input. It has also upgraded the model’s interface with the following changes:

  • The “Steering & Pedals” menu is now named “Dynamics”
  • New “Chill,” “Sport,” and “Insane” acceleration modes
  • New ‘Drive Instructions’ link
