Tesla’s previously disclosed fourth-gen (V4) Supercharging stalls have just been spotted in Harderwijk, Netherlands.

During the 2023 Investor Day event, Elon Musk-led electric automaker announced that it has started deploying the V4 Superchargers across Europe. It was revealed that the new units would feature longer cables to accommodate non-Tesla EVs, with their charging ports scattered throughout the vehicle.

Tesla starts to install V4 Superchargers in Harderwijk

Electric vehicle enthusiast Felix Hamer (@electricfelix) posted a YouTube video that showcases Tesla’s installation of V4 Superchargers in Harderwijk.

Interestingly, this advanced Supercharger station is set to open in Q2 2023. It appears to offer up to 16 stalls beside the highway. As you can see in the video linked in the Tweet above, Tesla has already installed a few stalls, which are significantly taller compared to the previous version, V3.

Although the stalls are currently covered, another enthusiast Wayne Lewis (@WayneLewy_), provided us with a potential visual:

As of now, there is no other news about Tesla’s V4 Supercharger development in different sites. Therefore, Harderwijk may be the first to receive the automaker’s innovative Supercharger.

Unfortunately, Tesla has not yet disclosed the V4 Supercharger’s power output. That said, we are not certain if it will surpass the V3’s output of 250kW. Nonetheless, EV influencer Esther Kokkelmans(@EstherKokkelman) posted photos via its Twitter account, indicating that the new Superchargers remain 250kW with 500V.

Reports suggest that Tesla would proceed with its V4 installations in North America after it finished on the European market. Europe is currently Tesla’s priority for the project, given that Tesla has over 50% of its stalls accessible to non-Tesla owners. In contrast, it has only started launching its pilot program in the US.
