Tesla‘s Supercharger station in Castlegar is finally operational after more than one year of development since October 2021, as per Drive Tesla Canada.
Location
The Canadian Tire parking lot at 2000 Columbia Avenue hosts the Castlegar Supercharger. It has 6 V3 stalls with a maximum charging speed of 250kW.
What caused the protracted development?
Apparently, Tesla has been waiting for the transformer’s arrival in Castlegar. This key equipment for the Superchargers to work has finally been delivered on December 12, as per KootsChewt.
Notably, the Tesla Motors Club (TMC) member’s report was verified with Tesla’s update on its official website, which includes the Castlegar Supercharger station.
Tesla now maintains full Supercharger coverage throughout the southern section of the Crowsnest Highway (Hwy 3) into Alberta with the addition of the Castlegar Supercharger station.
Tesla has been driving the electric vehicle revolution in North America. However, the automaker should do more than offer EVs but also technologies to fuel them. That said, Tesla has been expanding its Supercharger network globally to fulfill the demand for such infrastructures. Essentially, it has started pilot programs to allow every electric vehicle to use the Supercharger.
