Tesla China’s electric vehicle delivery center in Beijing has recorded its highest-volume delivery day in history, X user Tsla Chan shared, citing local outlet GeekLaii.
Delivery milestone
The Crab Island Beijing delivery center achieved record-breaking delivery performance in a day on May 26, 2025. As you can observe in the video footage, the facility is packed with both Tesla electric vehicles and customers.
Several customers were spotted walking around the delivery center while waiting for their Tesla cars. However, the report did not disclose the number of electric vehicle deliveries Crab Island Beijing received that day.
Nonetheless, the news emerged after a recent surge in sales in the Chinese market.
Strong sales imply continued growth in world’s largest EV market
Recent vehicle registration data in China revealed that the American electric automaker registered about 13,800 electric vehicles in the country from May 13 to 19. This figure represents around a 41% increase from just 9,800 EVs in the prior week,
In the January to April 2024 period, Tesla’s EV sales in the Chinese market reached about 163,841 units. Notably, this figure excludes the exported models to other foreign markets.
Local production and incentives drive customer interest
Tesla’s increasing sales in the Chinese market are primarily due to its solid local manufacturing and significant customer incentives.
For instance, the Musk-led company recently announced free Supercharging incentives for buyers who place an order by June 20. This announcement occurred just several days after the launch of its zero interest or zero down payment promotion program for Tesla Model 3 and Y units ordered by June 20.
Tesla has also been working to bring its Full Self-Driving (FSD) suite to the Chinese market. It recently secured tentative approval for the advanced driver assistance system’s launch in the country and formed a partnership with Baidu for its mapping and navigation features.
With the recent achievement of the Crab Island Beijing delivery center, Tesla records another significant feat in the world’s largest auto market. The delivery center supports the company’s immediate delivery needs and sets the stage for more growth prospects and better customer engagement in the Chinese market.
