Leading American electric automaker Tesla has no plans yet to penetrate the Philippine EV market. Nonetheless, its famous electric cars managed to land on the country’s roads recently through an all-electric vehicle importer.

Anis Electric Cars Philippines, an Anis Transport business unit, currently imports and sells models from five major brands, including China’s BYD, Japan’s Toyota, Germany’s BMW and Volkswagen, and America’s Tesla.

“We are committed to providing our customers with the highest level of satisfaction when it comes to purchasing their Electric Car in the Philippines. We pride ourselves on offering an extensive range of international electric vehicle (EV) brands. At our showroom, you will find a diverse collection of top-notch EVs, including renowned names such as Tesla, BYD, Toyota, Volkswagen, BMW and many more.”

Thanks to this new industry player, Tesla’s Model 3 and Y are now available for Filipino customers.

Tesla Model 3 & Y’s entry

Anis Electric Cars Philippines’ first-ever announcement of the arrival of the Tesla cars was on May 10. At that time, its official Facebook page had an updated cover photo featuring the Tesla Model 3 and other brands.

The company posted a teaser seven days later that hints at the upcoming Tesla models. A countdown followed on May 29, which ended on June 8, with the company already advertising the available electric cars.

The company’s latest Facebook post announced the official arrival of the famous EV models in the company’s office in mid-June.

As for the pricing, the Tesla Model 3 Rear Wheel Drive costs Php. 2,950,000.00. Meanwhile, the Tesla Model Y Rear Wheel Drive is more expensive at Php. 3,450,000.00.

Notably, the company greatly relies on its 10-year experience in the “transportation market, big car repair shop, painting facility, and service-oriented team” to succeed in the EV import industry.
