Tesla has confirmed the Model S/X range in Europe as the automaker prepares to start deliveries of the Plaid trims of both models in the region, according to Tesla North.
The company closed Model S/X orders in Europe last year due to a slower production ramp. However, it opened orders back up in August. The automaker sets to begin its first customer deliveries in Europe next month. New order deliveries will start between December 2022 and February 2023.
In addition, according to Tesla’s European configurator, the company is to continue orders of its refreshed based Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) trim of the Model S/X sometime next year.
The automaker updated the range of the four trims in Europe. Its WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light-Duty Test Procedure) estimates the actual WLTP range for both Model S/X.
Model S
– Dual Motor AWD: 634 km (from 634 km)
– Plaid: 600 km (from 600 km)
Model X
– Dual Motor AWD: 576 km (from 560 km)
– Plaid: 543 km (from 528 km)
The official WLTP-rated range for both Model S trims is the same as the original estimates. However, Model X trims have a slight raise in range. Prices, as Tesla announced, are roughly 11,000 euros for the Model S Plaid and 30,000 for the Model X Plaid.
In addition to Europe deliveries, the carmaker is also preparing to start the Model S/X Plaid deliveries in China.
